i) Hydrocarbon
- prolonged exposure contributes to asthma, liver disease and cancer.
ii) Carbon monoxide (CO)
- overexposure of CO poisoning may be fatal.
iii) Nitrogen oxide (NOx)
- precursor to smog and acid rain.
